Big John

A big hulk of a guy got on a bus -- 6' 8", built like a wrestler, arms hanging down to the ground. He glared at the driver and said, "Big John doesn't pay!" and sat down at the back.

The same thing happened every day. The bus driver became increasingly annoyed until he was staying awake at nights brooding over Big John's arrogance.

Finally, the driver signed up for body building courses, karate, and judo. Within months, he felt strong and tough.

The next time Big John got on the bus and said, "Big John doesn't pay!," the driver was ready for him.

Standing and looking squarely in Big John's eyes, the driver says, "And why not?"

With a surprised look on his face, Big John replied, "Big John has a bus pass."
